Plants have been used as a traditional medicine for centuries. Phytotherapy philosophy is based on the application of medicinal plants for the prevention and cure of various diseases naturally, without using drugs. However, both treatments are not incompatible, and the use of medicinal plants can substantially improve our health.

Medicinal herbs, like Hua Luk Siam, are increasingly valued, especially for their good results in the prevention and treatment of diseases. What kind of disease does Hua Luk Siam treat (ฮั้วลักเซียมรักษาโรคอะไรบ้าง, which is the term in Thai)? What kind of ailments can these herbs face? In this article, we will discuss them in detail.

Properties And Uses Of Medicinal Plants

The first thing to keep in mind is that each type of plant has characteristics and can be used for specific purposes. Many of them work for the proper functioning of a certain organ or system in the body.

In other words, not all of them serve everything. Staying well informed and knowing their effects is key to making good use of them, especially if combined with drugs. These are some of the diseases that can be treated with medicinal plants:

  1. Diabetes

Diabetes is a disease in which blood glucose levels are high. It is related to food and the activity we do. Diabetes is treated with insulin, but people with diabetes do not produce it or use it properly.

Beyond the usual treatment, diabetes can be controlled with the consumption of medicinal plants. These can improve the performance of the pancreatic tissue, thus contributing to the improvement of insulin secretions.

  1. Hypertension

Hypertension is the consequence of the growth in blood pressure levels continuously. Hypertension forces the heart to exert itself and can lead to arteriosclerosis, thrombosis, aneurysm, etc.

Although there is specific medication to treat hypertension, it can be combined with medicinal plants that can help keep the condition away.

  1. Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis is a chronic disease that affects the joints, causing pain and inflammation in areas such as the hands, feet, hips, and spine. The pain is usually mitigated with the use of pain relievers and is caused by the wear and tear suffered by the bones. It is usually concentrated in the adult population. The use of medicinal plants can calm discomfort.
