Early Years
Though he is originally from Romania, the Hungarian national immigrated to the U.S in hopes of starting anew and escaping the communist regime in his home country. Relentless in his pursuit of a better life, Dr. Fodor learned English and graduated first in his class from the University of Wisconsin Medical School. All this took place in just three years since he arrived in the U.S.
After graduation, he became an intern at the Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Before becoming a plastic surgeon in Los Angeles, his profession began when he applied for general and plastic surgery residencies at the Columbia / New York Presbyterian Hospital system. He also became a plastic surgery resident at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital.
