How to Get Rid of Scalp Sores? Here are Some Tips!

Scabs are the crusty or dry areas of the scalp that appear like dark patches on the skin. While scabs may have different appearance as some may appear yellowish, some may appear reddish, black or brown; it should be treated at the earliest before its spreads the whole scalp. It becomes itchy, and if you scratch them for a long time, it may start bleeding.

  • Warm compress

This is an effective method that you can try at home to get rid of scalp sores. There are many people who often wonder how to get rid of scalp sores. For them, this remedy will prove very effective and easy to try. To try this remedy, you need a towel. First, you need to soak the towel in hot water and then squeeze it. 

Once you squeeze out the excess water from the towel, you need to wrap it around your head for at least 15 to 20 minutes. The heat will be radiated from your head to the scalp. After doing this, you should comb your hair to get rid of scabs. You must try this at least once in a day. 

  • Apple cider vinegar

It is a very powerful antibacterial treatment that helps to remove antifungal properties. When it is applied to your head, the ph level in the vinegar helps to relievethe itching and dryness of the scalp. You can mix up two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar into a cup of hot water. Now mix it up and use this solution on your hair and massage it for at least 10 minutes. Once it is done, you should be rinsed off. Repeat this process at least twice a week. 

  • Warm oil massage

This method is very much effective and helps reducing itchiness and dryness of the scalp. You can try out any type of healthy oil such as olive oil, coconut oil, etc., to get the best result. You need to warm up the oil for a few minutes. 

Now gently massage the oil into the scalp for at least 10 minutes. The next morning you should wash your hair using a mild shampoo. Repeat this simple step at least thrice a week. 

  • Aloe vera gel

Aloe vera gel is also an effective remedy for treating scabs. Ithelps reducing itchiness and protects the scalp from getting infected. Cut a leaf of aloe vera and open it. Now remove the gel and use your fingers to apply the gel into the scabs and sores, and leave it for at least an hour. Wash your hair off using a mild shampoo. Repeat this process at least thrice a week. 

  • Tea tree oil

This tea tree oil is very much effective. It has both anti-inflammatory and antifungal properties. This oil can be used to treat itchiness. Take 10 drops of this oil into a half cup of almond oil. Prepare mixture and massage onto your scalp, and let it sit for around 5 minutes. Then wash off your hair using a mild shampoo.
